How to self-exclude from bet365 (US)
bet365's time-out tops out at 30 days. In New Jersey, excluding in the app also puts you on the state's internet list for every operator.
Where to find it
Account Menu > Gaming Controls > Self-Exclusion.
Before you do it: withdraw your balance and let open bets or positions settle. Once you’re excluded you may not be able to move money.
Your options
Timeout / cool-off (short break — ends on its own)
- Time-Out: 72 hours, 7 days or 30 days (Colorado page); account can't be used for wagering but you can log in and withdraw
Self-exclusion (the real block)
- Colorado and North Carolina: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years or indefinitely
- New Jersey: 1 year, 5 years or permanently - and in NJ this enrolls you with bet365 AND all NJ licensees (routes to the NJ DGE internet list)
A timeout is a pause. If you’re here because betting is causing harm, choose self-exclusion — and your state’s list on top of it.
Does it cover their other apps and other states?
Excludes your bet365 account (sports and casino where offered - ). NJ: covers all NJ licensees. Cross-state: not stated; separate state sites suggest NOT automatic - .
State-specific sites (e.g. nj., co., nc., mo. subdomains) with state-specific RG pages. Durations and state-list behaviour differ by state.
Your balance and open bets
'You will still be able to log in and withdraw any remaining balance' (CO/NC). NJ: 'a withdrawal request has been automatically raised for you.' Open bets: not stated - .
Can it be undone early?
'It will not be possible to re-open your account for any reason' during the exclusion. NJ: after expiry you must visit a DGE office in person to request reactivation. Time-out cannot be reactivated until the period ends.
Does the marketing stop?
'We will remove you from our marketing databases'; bet365 also advises removing notifications, uninstalling apps and unfollowing social accounts.
